Great news: as of March 2024 the National Disability Research Partnership is an independent entity with a constitution, an ABN and interim directors.
We have been working towards this since 2020 and are delighted to have reached this important milestone.
Constitution
The constitution sets out rules and agreements about how the NDRP will be run and what it will do.

Interim Directors
A huge thanks to the Working Party who finished in late 2023, when the Interim Directors took over. The NDRP would not exist without the passion, creativity, strategic thinking and deep experience of the Working Party.
The Interim Directors of the NDRP are:
Keran Howe, Interim Chair
Anne Kavanagh, Interim Director
Jackie Leach Scully, Interim Director
The Interim Directors will be in place until the first Board is in place - likely June 2024. Keran and Anne will continue onto the first board for a term of two years.
Next steps
Now that we have a company, we can start to recruit the Board and staff.
Click here to read more about the agreed-to governance model: NDRP governance. Soon we will start a national search for a Chair and independent directors. The Board will be made up of majority of people with disability.
Later in April we will also be looking for a CEO, Program Manager and Office Manager. We’ll be making announcements in the coming weeks about recruitment opportunities.
We will also soon publish the final NDRP Research Agenda and capacity strengthening plan. Watch this space or sign up to our newsletter.
Led by people with disability
In this video, Interim Directors Anne Kavanagh and Keran Howe talk about the importance of having people with disability driving the NDRP.
